Community partners play a critical role to enable students, staff, alumni and Board members to give back to our communities and for our students to develop important interpersonal skills such as communications, teamwork and creative problem solving through
volunteer and service learning opportunities.
Here are just a few opportunities for us to partner:
- College-wide Service Days - Since 2014, staff and students contributed more than 38,000 hours of service to over 760 community projects over 7 service days. Metals students built
instrument stands for a music outreach program, health students worked with seniors, business students provided marketing support to a community kitchen and more. Our 2018-2019 College-Wide Service Days are October 3, 2018, and May 1, 2019.
- Employer Supported Volunteer Time - NBCC supports employee volunteerism by providing all employees with two days of paid leave to volunteer. In 2017, 150 employees contributed approximately 1,150 hours in our communities during regular
- On-going community projects and volunteer opportunities - As we continue to build and introduce new courses, there will be new opportunities to reach NBCC students, staff and alumni.
We would love to learn more about your organization and see how we can work together to #TransformNB.
