Program Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator program provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary in the activity and production work associated with earth, gravel and rock movement in a competitive environment. You'll get significant hands-on practice operating heavy equipment, and you'll develop knowledge in respect for the work environment, legislation, basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and industrial safety concepts.

Prerequisites

  • High School Diploma or Adult High School Diploma or GED Diploma of High School Equivalency or Essential Skills Achievement Pathway: Post-Secondary Entry High School or apply as a Mature Student
