We have teamed up with NB Power to offer FREE workshops to business owners/operators (including not-for-profit organizations and multi-unit residential buildings) on the following topics:

Energy Efficiency Retrofits for Small Businesses Workshop

This course will introduce attendees to how retrofitting small businesses can help New Brunswick, and Canada, can increase efficiency and save money. Focus will be placed on benchmarking your business, potential energy efficiency methods & savings, and incentive programs NB Power is offering to help small businesses achieve these energy goals. Attendees will learn important emission reduction tactics along with valuable concepts such as EUI, emissions, benchmarking, energy audit, deep retrofit (high performance envelope and heat pump for heating and cooling), BAS, and embodied carbon.

Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Accounting Workshop

This workshop will cover climate change and the impacts it is having globally. Attendees will see a summary of the causes and what is being done to adapt and mitigate climate change impacts. Focus will be on what Canada and New Brunswick is doing to achieve our climate goals. Climate action plans and greenhouse gas reports will be covered, and attendees will learn the greenhouse gas accounting protocol.

Refrigerant Awareness Workshop

This workshop will introduce attendees to the impact refrigerants have on climate change. There will be an overview of heat pumps and how refrigerants are used in heat pumps, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Attendees will learn best practices for handling and disposal of refrigerants and equipment. Attendees will also learn what to expect when working with a refrigeration technician.
