Farm workers who can use and maintain basic equipment are vital and in high demand to work on New Brunswick farms.

NBCC offers a 10-week Agriculture Essentials: Equipment Maintenance microcredential program to better prepare learners to work in the agricultural sector as farm workers.

The knowledge and terminology covered in the modules includes, but is not limited to, tool identification, equipment uses, equipment components, the importance of upkeep, and health and safety procedures.

This program instructs learners to safely use and maintain basic agriculture tools and equipment when working on a farm to reduce downtime and repair costs.
