Sustainability: Quality of Life, Engagement & Growth

Course Code: URBN1007B

Credits: 0

Course Description: This course asks the question: as cities and regions work toward a more environmentally sustainable future, are they realizing all the benefits they should gain: a better quality of life, of course, but also deeper citizen engagement in the future and a new wave of economic growth? It will also explain the connections between quality-of-life issues and economic development. Environmental sustainability engages the energy of citizens in maintaining and improving the community and presents an opportunity for economic development in an increasingly fragile world.
