Full-Time Programs

These programs are designed to give you hands-on experience in the field and to meet national and provincial standards, ensuring you receive a top-quality education.

Graduates are eligible to write the NCLEX-PN exam and become licensed practical nurses (LPNs).

Part-Time Programs

NBCC also offers a variety of part-time courses for nursing professionals looking to upgrade their skills, knowledge, and qualifications. The courses are designed to be flexible and fit your busy schedule, allowing you to upgrade your skills at your own pace. Nursing Initiatives

Practical Nurse: PSW Pathway

If you have completed NBCC's PSW program within the last 5 years, this PSW to PN bridging program will allow you to become a Practical Nurse in just 12 months!

LPN to BN Pathway
If you are an LPN looking to advance your career, the LPN to BN pathway is the perfect option for you. This program builds on current knowledge and nursing practices and prepares students to enter the third year of the four-year BN Fredericton program.

Step Up to Nursing Initiative
The Step Up to Nursing initiative is a workplace-based, wage-supported learning model that provides education to New Brunswickers who are interested in advancing in their nursing careers. This program is designed to help LPNs advance their careers by transitioning to an RN role through workplace-based learning.

Learn Where You Live: Miramichi or Moncton
These programs allow LPN to BN Pathway students who live in the Miramichi or Moncton regions to study and work in those areas.
