Ever thought about working in the manufacturing sector?

Here's your chance to learn more about the required skills, local job opportunities, and training available in this field.

NBCC is offering an 8-week Manufacturing Fundamentals microcredential program as part of the work-integrated learning partnership between Marshall Skills Academy Canada, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), and the University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNB).

This program will provide a basic introduction to several trades, including additional opportunities to build employability skills. Learners will also be assessed by the college and employers for future training and employment opportunities at a technician, technologist, or engineering level via the Earn as You Learn pathway.

This program cohorts will be offered in Moncton.

Goals

To prepare learners for employment in the manufacturing sector and to expose them to various manufacturing careers and the educational pathways required for success in those roles.

Program Courses

  • Workplace safety
  • Tools and equipment
  • Manufacturing trades experience
  • Blueprint reading
