NBCC Announces Workforce Adjustments to Support Long-Term Sustainability

As we continue to navigate shifts in program demand, external policy changes, and the financial pressures associated with new enrolment patterns, NBCC is making strategic workforce adjustments. These changes are necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of the College while continuing to meet the needs of the students, industry partners, and communities we serve in an evolving post-secondary landscape.

One of the most difficult aspects of this response is its impact on employees. Today, NBCC announced a reduction of 28.65 positions, through a combination of retirements, vacancies, contract conclusions, layoffs, and reassignments.

These adjustments position NBCC for the future while ensuring we remain a strong and responsive institution, dedicated to student success and workforce readiness in New Brunswick.
