Flags at all NBCC locations are to be lowered to half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, June 23, 2018, to mark the National Day of Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism.
The National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism is marked each year on the anniversary of the bombing of Air India Flgiht 182 off the coast of Ireland on June 23, 1985. This act of terrorism claimed 329 lives, including citizens of Canada, Britain, India and the United States.
The special day of recognition honours all victims of terrorist violence that have taken the lives of Canadians.
