Early Childhood Education courses provide an opportunity for working professionals in the childcare sector or those with an interest in the field to develop knowledge and skills while earning college credits.  Students complete courses part-time to graduate with a certificate or diploma.

Online courses have scheduled start, end, and assessment dates.

Register at least five (5) business days before a course starts.

Admission Requirements

  • Please Note: Regardless of courses completed, students must meet program admissions requirements from Profile A, which reads: “High School Diploma or Adult High School Diploma or GED Diploma of High School Equivalency or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) or Essential Skills Achievement Pathway: Post-Secondary Entry High School Diploma”
  • Individuals for whom English is not a first language may need to meet NBCC language requirements.

Important: Students who wish to exit the program with a certificate after completing the first two years of courses part-time must contact ContinuingEd@nbcc.ca to announce their intention no later than November 1st of the academic year they plan to graduate.

  • Cancelled - The class has been cancelled
