Kim Fillmore wants NBCC students to be the toast of New Brunswick. Through engagement in a research project with the New Brunswick Grape Growers Association, Kim trained Hospitality and Tourism students on how to gather data about what consumers think about local products and how to match great New Brunswick wine with the great food they serve. At a local event, over 400 guests got to sample New Brunswick wines that were selected by NBCC students based on nose, bouquet and taste; students used this opportunity to survey guests about their experience with the New Brunswick products. Survey results from the study showed that people were positive about the offerings available and they will be looking to buy more New Brunswick products. We’ll drink to that.
