NBCC Respiratory Therapy instructors are helping patients breathe easier. High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy offers health care providers a less invasive way to administer oxygen to their patients.  But do all patients respond the same to the therapy? At NBCC Saint John a team of four instructors led by Tammie Fournier conducted research that explored the effect HFNC has on patients’ inspiratory flow rate and on drug delivery -- knowledge that will help respiratory therapists deliver improved care to their patients.
