The following statement has been issued by Mary Butler, President and CEO of New Brunswick Community College (NBCC):

“It is with great sadness that we can now confirm that four of our students were involved in a serious accident on September 1. As a college community, we grieve the loss of three students and our hearts go out to the two survivors. NBCC is a close-knit community and students and staff across our college are mourning together during this terrible time. We think especially of the victims’ families and friends so far from their loved ones.

Additional counselling support is being provided for both students and employees at the college.”
