NBCC, in partnership with the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, has designed the Essential Skills Pathway Program to help students succeed with their learning goals. This program is ideal for learners who have been out of school for several years or may have experienced difficulties achieving a diploma through a traditional high school educational system. This is also an opportunity for newcomers who have been unable to show proof of a valid/recognized high school diploma. By joining the program, students will be equipped with the skills needed to succeed in post-secondary education.
In addition to completion of high school core courses, this one-year program will provide you with 11 essential skills to develop your competencies, learning strategies and confidence to complete your high school diploma. Some topics covered include:
Continuous Learning, Fundamentals of Computing, Numeracy, Oral communication, Reading, Problem Solving, Teamwork, Writing and Document Use.
Apply today and take the next step to reach your learning goals.
