Education: Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering (UNB)

Experience: Curtis is Chairman and CEO of Mariner, a New Brunswick-based technology firm which he co-founded in 2003. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer of Aliant Telecom and General Manager, Marketing at NBTel. His managerial expertise includes technology development, marketing, and human resources. He holds patents on several innovations related to Internet Video technologies.

Behind the Scenes: Curtis speaks frequently at international technology conferences across North America and Western Europe. In his spare time, he mentors many New Brunswick-based technology firms. He is Chairman of Shift Energy, and was founding chair of Propel ICT, a business accelerator focused on developing technology start-ups across the Maritimes. He has previously served on the boards of the New Brunswick Systems Operator, Datacor ISM, Stentor Canadian Network Management, iMagicTV, Connectivity Inc., and The Micro-Electronics Technology Centre, to name a few.

Curtis on NBCC: It’s exciting to see the advances the College is making in critical areas such as developing entrepreneurship in students, and retaining graduates in the Province. I’m pleased to join the Board at a time when the College is advancing this very progressive agenda.
