I was hired by Irving Refinery upon graduation and completed my apprenticeship there. I was laid off in 1982 and then worked at Saint John Shipbuilding, Clark Equipment and Tractors and Equipment, a Caterpillar equipment company. I was hired by NBCC as an Instructor in March of 1989, and taught in regular programs and Apprenticeship programs for the next 15 years. I then worked as a Department Head of the Industrial-Automotive Department for the next 8 years, then as the Dean of Trades and Apprenticeship for the next two years.  I retired from NBCC in March of 2013.
