Course Overview

One day course to gain certification to handle ozone depleting substances and other halocarbons in New Brunswick.

IMPORTANT: Although anyone can take the awareness course, in order to become a certified technician under the Ozone Depleting Substances and Other Halocarbons Regulation a person must provide confirmation to the Department that he/she is an apprentice or a licensed tradesperson in one of the pre-approved trades (please contact for a list of trades) and have successfully completed the ODS awareness course.

Payment of course fees is required at time of registration. We accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, Money Order or cheque payable to New Brunswick Community College (NBCC).

Participants must be at least 16-years old, unless otherwise noted.

Books are available at the bookstore, prices quoted are approximate. The same payment methods listed above are accepted. There are no refunds for textbooks or materials.

Withdrawal/Refunds: Prices are subject to change. Requests for withdrawal from Continuing Education courses must be made within 20% of course duration. Refunds may take 4-6 weeks to process. An administrative fee may apply.
