NBCC opens nominations for 2nd Annual Alumni Recognition Awards

FREDERICTON – The NBCC Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 2nd Annual NBCC Alumni Recognition Awards. The awards recognize and celebrate the contributions that NBCC graduates make in New Brunswick communities and beyond. Nominations close March 24, 2016.

At 80,000 and growing, NBCC alumni are making an impact both economically and socially through professional excellence and leadership, entrepreneurship and volunteerism.

“Our inaugural awards took place last year and were a resounding success,” says Marilyn Luscombe, NBCC President and CEO. “We are looking forward to this year’s opportunity to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of alumni who are truly transforming lives and communities in New Brunswick and beyond.” There are four award categories as follows:
  • Community Leadership: Aligning with NBCC’s aspirations for its Robertson Institute for Community Leadership, this award recognizes an alumna or alumnus who has made significant contributions to New Brunswick communities.
  • Entrepreneurship: this award recognizes an alumna or alumnus who has built a successful business.
  • Outstanding Young Alumni: this award recognizes an alumna or alumnus under the age of 35 who has demonstrated success in their chosen field.
  • NBCC Signature Award - Friend of New Brunswick: this award recognizes an alumna or alumnus who has made significant contributions to the culture, reputation, or economic prosperity of the Province of New Brunswick.
