Tara Waye

Class of 2013 - Miramichi Campus - Office Administration

I'm a single parent of 2 young children under the age of 4, and I will do anything I can to make their life better.

Thanks to NBCC, I have one possibility out of the way - a career! I graduated with honors, received the Academic Excellence Award for my program, won two bursaries and one scholarship. I worked hard to make a difference for my children; they need a better start than what I had. Thanks to NBCC and some amazing instructors, my life is headed in the right direction, and I have the opportunity to do what I love the most because of this program.

Within a month upon graduating, I was offered a full-time position in my field with great pay and amazing benefits for my children and me, which shows that hard work and dedication really does pay off. So when you go, (and I say "when" because you deserve to make your life better) put yourself out there and make friends that will be with you for years to come. Do what I did while I was at NBCC - become an ambassador and join the student council, because it will give you opportunities to meet some incredible people!

Do what you love, and live the life you've always dreamed of; both of which can happen if you join NBCC.  Best choice I've ever made for myself, and my family.
