Class of 1991 - St. Andrews Campus - Electrical

After graduation I began working for a contractor in St. Andrews where I stayed for 14 months and was also able to complete my second block. I always wanted to be a teacher so I left this company to enroll full time at UNB Fredericton until I graduated in 1996. While at UNB, I worked my summers plus weekends in the electrical field for various contractors, a sardine factory and at CFB Gagetown.

After graduating UNB I had less than a year to complete my 9000 hour Construction Electrician apprenticeship so I entered the field full time once again and completed it in 1997. After this I began working at Flakeboard Company where I was able to get my red seal certification as an Industrial Electrician. In 2002 I started a new job as an electrical instructor at NBCC St. Andrews campus where I continue to work today.

During the 2013-14 school year, I took a sabbatical to work in the oil fields of Alberta and also in Newfoundland. My electrical experience has taken me to projects in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia as well as Cuba.
