I was hired by a major bank (CIBC) right from NBCC, and spent almost seven years in six different branches in PEI, NL, and NS. I have resided in NS since 1982. Since 1988, I have worked at Atlantic Pilotage Authority (APA) based out of Halifax. The APA is a self-sufficient federal crown corporation operating in all of the Atlantic Provinces. Since leaving NBCC, I have taken courses at UPEI, MUN, Dal, SMU, Queens, and through the Society of Management Accountants. I currently have my Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant designations, and have served as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary at APA since 1997.

I think the experiences and education I received at NBCC prepared me very well for my future career. I remember my time at NBCC fondly.

On a personal side, I have been married to Jannette MacArthur since 1984, and we live in Cole Harbour, NS. I am originally from the Miramichi, and still have family there and in other parts of NB, as well as across Canada.
