NBCC named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers for second year
FREDERICTON - For the second year in a row, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is among Atlantic Canada's Top Employers according to the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. The College is one of 30 organizations in the region being recognized for offering exceptional places to work.
“This recognition comes at a key time for NBCC as we continue our process to develop a new strategic plan for 2017-2022,” said Marilyn Luscombe, NBCC President & CEO. “We are proud of the strides that we have made in terms of fulfilling our commitment to create a great place to work and learn – but we’re also looking ahead to the future and to what more needs to be done.”
The selection committee specifically highlighted NBCC’s commitment to employee learning and development, as well as to the College’s leave policy that includes two paid days annually to volunteer in communities.
“On behalf of everyone at NBCC, I’d like to thank Atlantic Business Magazine for this honour,” she said. “I’d also like to thank our College’s fantastic team! The success of NBCC truly relies upon the strengths and talents of our staff and, from my perspective, they are more than capable to seize the opportunities that our future holds.”
With over 90 programs and six campuses across New Brunswick, New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is a provincially-recognized, public post-secondary institution reputed for producing skilled, knowledgeable graduates who are contributing to the Province’s socio-economic prosperity.
